“Happy New Year”

By Nafsika

2025 is over and I’m thinking about wishes for the New Year.

My mind has been stuck to “Happy new year”.  So, Happy New Year!

Really? Only that? Same as the previous year?   May I change something?

That was the time when I remembered my favorite English tutor's advice:

“back to basics”.  So, I started playing with words as she showed me.

After that, everything was clear. All we look for in the future,

is not hidden inside expensive gifts, but in our sincere wishes and acts!

Heart – love

Art

Peace

Protect our home – earth

Yes, to self-care and smiles

Nice people around us

Earth – health-heal the wounds

Wonderful moments

Yell no to anything absorbing our values

Equality

Acts of love every single day

Respect to all creatures

It’s time for a restart based on love, kindness and integrity.

Let’s be present in our lives in 2026.

cog-words

for the year 2026

Can't escape myself

By paraphrasing Jung's and

Wilde's famous lines,

I would say there are two types

of tragedies in life:

Not finding your true self,

living inauthentically by pretending,

conforming and suppressing.

The other, discovering the real you,

living consciously, being honest and daring.

In recent years after completing

at least one circle of tragedies,

I feel privileged and lucky to have

experienced both. Because you see,

it's not the one, inferior, over the

other, superior.

They are different stages

in our psychological evolution.

The key is to realize that your

psyche, your personality, your

behavior can evolve and seek

consciously to facilitate this process.

Of course the shadow, the triggers,

the fears, the arrogance or

intimidation follow suit.

They advance as well, beware!

Talking to myself, right here.

There is power in wising up,

however, one has to remain humble!

Power, yes! But with responsibility

and compassion!

This is really the smart thing to

do if you want to move from circle

to circle without getting stuck in the

same old loop, thus becoming

eventually, exhausted,

bored and ill.

Wish you a really New Year!
